While raging, you roll 2d20 to hit with your barbarian melee and thrown weapon attacks instead of 1d20. Use the higher roll for the attack. If you roll a natural 11+ with both dice and your highest attack roll is a hit, the attack is a critical hit! Deal +1d4 additional damage each time one of your attacks misses, up to a maximum of +4d4 damage. Strongheart - Your recovery dice are d12s instead of d10s like other barbarians. Whirlwind - You can make a Whirlwind attack as the first action of your turn when you are engaged by two or more enemies. You take a –4 penalty to your AC and PD until the start of your next turn. Then roll a separate melee attack against each enemy you are engaged with. You deal no miss damage with these attacks. ## Feats: - Adventurer Feat: Bonus damage dice for Building Frenzy are now d6s. - Adventurer Feat: You now deal normal miss damage with missed Whirlwind attacks. ## Equipment: - Wolf hide and leather armor (light armor) - Dwarven warhammer (heavy 2h, 1d10) - Tooth of the Orc Lord - Standard traveling gear ## Appearance: Marduk looks worn and maybe 10 years older than his actual age should be. He has multiple scars around his body, including a massive one on his chest from fighting the Orc Lord. He has almost no hair on his head. Only a few hairs where his eyebrows should be. His eye color is black. His skin is a greenish grey, and his face is thoroughly unattractive. You definitely wouldn't want to meet this guy in a dark alley, or anywhere at all really. ## History: Marduk was born around 30 years ago in a half-orc tribe at the northern edge of civilization. This tribe is among a number which are kept fed and armed by the Empire in return for them fighting the forces of the dreaded Orc Lord, whose mindless destruction is feared would destroy all of civilization. When Marduk was around 18, his father died in battle with the orcs, and passed on to him a well-crafted dwarven warhammer, unsusual as a weapon for the unsophisticated tribe. Marduk soon found use for it, as he himself joined the battle against the orcs. Marduk showed great skill in combat, and 5 years later was made leader of his tribe for his combat abilities, which is the standard way to pick leaders among this tribe. He fought the orc hordes for another 7 years, and though he lacked the intelligence and charisma to be a great leader, his fighting prowess inspired his army to fight stronger than ever before. After those 7 years, Marduk finally found himself facing the dreaded Orc Lord himself. And though the Orc Lord was stronger than any opponent he had fought before, Marduk managed to slay him there. Though a new Orc Lord was chosen, the loss of this one had been a terrible blow for the orc hordes. The Empire rejoiced as it felt the threat from the north had been stilled, at least for a little while. For his heroic actions, Marduk gained minor celebrity status amongst soldiers of the Empire, was nicknamed Virilitas Boreas, and was even given a mansion within the rich district of Axis, the Imperial capital. Though it turned out not to be so great for the barbarian Marduk. He could not get used to the urban lifestyle at Axis, and spent his days and nights at inns, wasting his fortune on alcohol. His mansion fell into disarray, and barfights got him into trouble with the law. Things seemed to get very bad, until he got an invitation for a mission from Shadow Port. Apparently, his minor celebrity status had given some "guild" over there the idea that he could do a task for them. They said they would pay handsomely. With nothing to lose, Marduk used the last of his money to take a ship to Shadow Port. He was to find this guild, receive his fortune, and perhaps again feel the thrill of battle.
